Electrochromic compounds:

  • transition metal oxides such as tungsten trioxide and nickel oxide
  • inorganic complex compounds such as Prussian blue and its analogues
  • electrochromic conducting polymers such as polyaniline, PEDOTs and polypyrroles

Thin film deposition:

  • electrodeposition in general
  • new method for large area electrodeposition of thin films onto substrates with high electrical resistance (patent)

Polymer electrolytes:

  • ion-conducting PVB interlayer produced by extrusion (patent1, patent2), developed together with Kuraray Trosifol® (publication)
  • UV-cured polymer electrolytes

Electrochromic systems:

  • Tungsten oxide / Prussian blue (patent / publication1, publication2)
  • Tungsten oxide / nickel oxide
  • electrochromic systems including conducting polymers (e.g. polyaniline, PEDOT and its derivatives etc.)
  • charge balancing of cathodic and anodic electrochromic compounds (and ion-storage layers)
